LIVESTOCK TRANSPORTERS features various livestock tractor-trailer liners hauling cattle, horses and hogs through Vernon, British Columbia, located at the north end of the Okanagan Valley. Agriculture is a major contributor to the Okanagan's economy, and includes a resilient mix of crops, livestock and processed products. The first beef cattle movement to British Columbia occurred in 1846 when cattle and horses were moved by boat from Fort Vancouver at the mouth of the Columbia River to Vancouver Island and then to Fort Kamloops and Fort Alexandria. Today's livestock movement is performed easier and faster by modern day horsepower, the tractor-trailer unit, which transports under strict regulations for animal safety. Thanks for watching!
