In November of 2024, Conrail Shared Assets Operations (CSAO) operated four separate wash trains across NJ Transit's RiverLINE diesel light rail line (which is formerly the Conrail Bordentown Secondary.) For many years these trains were hauled by switcher locomotives from the Juniata Terminal Company and often featured a restored Pennsylvania Railroad N5C cabin car in the consist! Those days are now gone as CSAO has apparently taken the reigns. In this video you'll witness three of the four moves — operating, in the order shown, as WPCA-29, WPCA-81 and WPCA-69. Although these trains ran all the way from Camden to Trenton and back, I documented the operation exclusively between Bordentown, New Jersey and the state capital of Trenton. Class one freight railroad locomotives are virtually never seen on this line above Bordentown, so I decided to focus on this particular segment. Thank you very much for watching! I hope you enjoy.
