"Uptown Girl" is a song written and performed by American musician Billy Joel. It was released on September 29, 1983, on his ninth studio album An Innocent Man (1983). The lyrics describe a working-class "downtown man" attempting to woo a wealthy "uptown girl." The Shadows made an instrumental version for their 1990 Album “Reflection” this is my 8th cover to date from that album. (For Guitarists ) - The Octave playing was achieved by using a “Pitch Fork” made by Electro Harmonix. – It has many facilities, for this song I played the upper octave and the Pitch Fork provided the same note an octave lower.
