Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth

This Wednesday, Feb. 7th, we’ll study a subject that I call - “Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth.” The name is taken from Paul’s words to Timothy in (2 Tim. 2:15.) There are three major time periods of Bible history. In each period God has dealt with man through different laws and covenants. From Adam to Moses there was no written scriptures. God spoke directly to the head of the family, the patriarch. From Moses to Christ God dealt with Israel by the law of Moses and left Gentiles without any written law. In the Christian Age, we have the New Testament, in this day, to guide the people of God and to regulate all the worship, organization, and activities of the church. In order to understand and in order to properly interpret the Bible we must do what Paul said - “study to show thyself approved, ... rightly dividing the word of truth.” I will lead us in a study of a scripture in (Heb. 9:15-17). Unless we understand this passage of scripture, we’ll never have understanding of the Bible. Friends, don’t miss this informative topic.
