Over a year out of the pool, a father of two bravely returned to the water at our Adaptive Swim event in Virginia Beach. This story is just one of many from @SPINALpedia, where our team provided over 20 adaptive swim lessons for individuals with spinal cord injuries and other physical challenges. For many, it was their very first time back in the water since their accident. With the support of Swim Angelfish instructors, he worked on back floating for the first time since his spinal cord injury — alongside his two sons. By the end of the lesson, he achieved independence in the water again, rediscovering freedom, confidence, and joy. At Swim Angelfish, we believe that swimming is for every body. Through our Adaptive Swim Whisperers® training and resources, we give aquatic professionals the tools they need to help swimmers of all abilities thrive in the water.
