Molise PR Chicago Client Nick Wernimont, founder of Factor 75, a healthy food delivery service in Chicago, offers tips and tricks to help you avoid over eating this holiday season: 1. Avoid Splitting Your Pants: Eat Less, More Often. We’ve all heard “breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” but on Christmas Day the family feast is inevitably the most important, or mom will be mad. You still should start your morning with a well-balanced breakfast of champions today, because it jump starts your metabolism. Eat a lean protein-packed breakfast (like our Quinoa Quiche with Turkey Sausage) and then follow this up with small, healthy snacks every two hours to prevent yourself from being famished when you sit down at the table for your holiday family feast. 2. Avoid Holiday Hangover by Drinking Heavily (Water). 75 percent of Americans are in a state of dehydration. Our bodies are 60 percent H2O and the easiest thing we can do for our mind and body is to hydrate. Today, offset your booze intake by drinking a large glass of water for every glass of wine or cocktail you consume, as well as with every snack and meal. You will feel much better the next morning, trust us. 3. Avoid Molding the Couch Cushion: Be Active. It is so easy to become lethargic when you're cooped up at your in-laws'. Get some sort of physical activity in on Christmas Day- try sledding, tossing a football in the snowy yard, jumping rope for 15 minutes or playing a tennis match on Nintendo Wii. You'll increase both your energy and holiday spirit.
