I recreated ACNH's 1st anniversary cake to celebrate the channel hitting 1K subscribers! Thank you all for the constant support and hope you enjoy this video! :) Instagram:   / tiposhomebakes   Recipe Sponge cake (makes an 8 x 8 inch and 6 x 6 inch cake) 5 eggs (250g) 2 egg yolks (40g) 200g sugar 50g unsalted butter (melted) 90g oil 170g cake flour 30g corn flour 2 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp vanilla extract Steps Whip eggs, yolks and sugar over a bowl of hot water until it triples in volume and becomes very thick and pale in colour. Drip the batter back into the bowl and it should stay for some time before sinking back in. Fold in sifted dry ingredients until no pockets of flour can be seen. In another bowl, melt butter and combine with oil and vanilla. Take some batter and mix well with the butter mixture (do not have to be too gentle here). Then pour the butter batter mixture back into the rest of the batter. Fold well until no streaks of butter batter mixture can be seen. Pour into a 6 inch and 8 inch pan. Hit the pan a few times to get rid of the air bubbles. Bake at 150°C / 302°F for 30-35 for the small one and 40-45 for the large one. If inserted toothpick comes out clean then it is done. Drop the pan a few times to prevent shrinkage before flipping out onto a cooling rack. Level the cake into a 1/3 and 2/3 ratio.
