THE PARABLE OF THE TEN VIRGINS

In Matthew 25, the ten virgins represent believers waiting for the return of the Bridegroom, Yeshua the Messiah. The five wise virgins had oil in their lamps, symbolizing not just faith, but obedience through Torah—living in readiness with righteous works (cf. Proverbs 6:23). The five foolish virgins lacked oil, representing those who believed but did not walk in Torah or prepare by doing the will of the Father (cf. Matthew 7:21–23). When the Bridegroom came, only those who were both believing and obedient entered the Kingdom, while the disobedient were shut out.
