Thinking of living in Dallas, but don't know if it's right for you? Are you thinking of moving to the Dallas-Fort Worth area and wondering if it's worth it? In this episode of Chasing DFW, I'm going to walk you through some of the pros and cons of living in Dallas. From weather and location to taxes, this info will help you decide if moving to DFW is right for you. Texas is a state where asking someone, "Hey, how's the weather?" is a legitimate question, not just some icebreaker you use on the first date. Asking it in the morning, and then again in the afternoon, will often get you completely different responses. DFW weather is predictably unpredictable. In the summer it gets hot and humid. It's not a question of if the temperature is going to reach a hundred degrees, but rather how many days in a row the temperatures will remain above a hundred. Wintertime in DFW gets cold—if we decide to have a winter that year. When it does get cold, it's usually not a nice cold. There's always ice but never any snow. Since nobody in Texas can drive on icy roads, we usually shut down schools for a few days. Spring and fall, however, are awesome seasons. Outside of some showers with random hail in the spring, temperatures are very mild and make for a great time outdoors.
