Lt. Cdr. Bijay Nair (Retd.) is a former Naval officer who served for 10 years after being commissioned from the Naval Academy, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. A decorated veteran, he played a key role in Operation Talwaar during the Kargil War (1999) and was honored with the Ops Vijay Star and Vijay Medal. In recognition of his service, he received commendations from the Flag Officer Western Naval Command (2003, 2004) and the Chief of Naval Staff (2006).
