We were intrigued with the Sososo Kakigori shaved ice dessert with its beautiful and unique presentation/serving. We tried the Kiwi Fruit shaved ice dessert. The ice is made of water imported from Japan. It has a very soft and smooth texture and with some hard and soft sweet pearl-like things inside. There are 8 flavors: Kiwi Fruit, Mango, Strawberry, Blueberry, Watermelon, Peace, Uji Green Tea Mochi and Okinawa Shikuwasa. It's so yummy and highly recommended! But indulging in sweets at times is such a guilty pleasure. However, I found some simple hacks (from Glucose Goddess Jessie Inchauspe) to counter sugar spikes not only when eating sweets but when eating other meals and I think these are worth sharing.😁 1) Move after eating. 2) Drink water with a spoonful of vinegar before eating. 3) Eat food in the right order: veggies first, proteins and fats next, and carbs and sugar last. 4) Drink coffee only after eating not on an empty stomach. 5) Do not eat plain carbs. 6) Eat sweets only as dessert. 7) Eat a healthy (savory) breakfast with no sweets. 8) Drink lots of water after eating.
