At 15, I became friends with Jake, a quiet guy in my friend group. We exchanged Snapchats, grew close, and eventually started dating. Things were good at first, but my mental health started declining due to bullying, leading to self-harm. When my parents found out, Jake and I took a break—but eventually got back together. Then, I discovered the ultimate betrayal. Jake was talking to my best friend Olivia and another girl, Amelia—the same girl who bullied me for years. Feeling betrayed, I confronted them. Months later, Amelia and her friends confronted me at school, and Jake did nothing. He stood there and did NOTHING. That was my breaking point. I ended things and fell into a deep depression. But here’s where the “revenge” comes in... Jake’s cousin, Alex, reached out to me, and we became friends. To get back at Jake, we sent him photos. But let’s just say… it did NOT go as planned. The drama got even messier, and I realized that revenge wasn’t worth it. Now, a year later, I’m in a much better place. Jake still tries to reach out, but I’ve moved on, and honestly?
