PCC Mobile Welding Lab at Wilsonville High School

Students at Wilsonville High School got a chance to try out a possible future career with a two-week class at the mobile welding training center from Portland Community College. The trailer was parked at the high school and gave students the opportunity to do some hands-on welding during the school day. PCC Instructor Joey Botcher taught our students the basics of welding and showed them what to do when using the equipment themselves. It was a great way for our students to experience what a future lifelong career in a field that is desperate for more workers could be like.
