This is Scott with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at our Draw-Tite 1 1/4 inch hitch for our 2023 Honda Accord. Let's go ahead and take a look at our install and specifications. With this being 1 1/4 inch receiver, it is gonna be primarily for your lighter bike racks or your cargo carriers. With that in mind, it is gonna be a capacity of 200 pounds, and that's weighing down on the receiver. It's not gonna really be for your any of your heavy towing, or towing, or anything like that. And if you do have any accessories that are the two inch, you can use this adapter to put onto your 1 1/4 inch receiver, and that'll allow you to use those previously owned accessories. This Draw-Tite hitch does have a really nice powder-coat finish on it. It will not come with 1/2 inch pin. You may want to get one of them from etrailer, but some of your accessories probably already have the pin with it. Your Draw-Tite Class I hitch will come with tow loops. It does have a pull rating of 2,000 pounds, but you will want to check with your manufacturer specifications as to what your pull weight can be. As far as measurements go, we're looking at right around 10 1/2 inches from the ground at the center of the tube, and we're looking at about one inch past the bumper. As far as the installation goes, it can get pretty complicated. You're gonna wanna follow along with your instruction manual pretty closely, but just follow along in the video and I'll help you along with that. To start our installation, we're gonna have two Phillips screw right here we're gonna have to remove, and we're gonna do that on both sides. (ratchet cranking) If you get these out easier, you may want to use this type of bit driver. It kind of shortens it up and makes it a little bit easier to get into tight spaces. Okay. All right, now that we have those two screws out, there is gonna be a little plastic pop clip up under here. We're just gonna take a little screwdriver and break that loose, pull that down, and pull that clip out. And behind that piece of molding, there is gonna be two more screws right back here that we're gonna remove. With the molding out of the way, it does say to pull these two screws that are here. It looks to me that it's this top one that actually attaches this fascia. And the bottom, it looks like it's the pop clip in the bottom. But since the instructions state to remove both, we're just gonna go ahead and take 'em both out. It can be tricky to get to them, so you may need to find a little stubby screwdriver that just fits in there. With the wheel removed, it would be a lot easier, but we're gonna go ahead and try with this tool we got here. Now that we have our tool finally on there, it is hard to see back in there, so you're gonna want to probably get some good light on it. Now, we're just gonna back it out nice and easy, (electric screwdriver whirring) And once you get it so far, you can probably back it out by hand. And just save your screws 'cause you will be needing those later. Now that we have the screws removed from the fender well area, we'll go ahead and open the trunk up. And with this, we're gonna need to remove this little panel here. Behind here is a bolt we're gonna have to get to. So, on the other side, I was able to get behind it with my fingers and pop it, but you may need a trim panel tool and just get behind it here, and you're gonna pull it away from the brake light area here and we're gonna need to access this bolt right here, and we'll do that for both sides. (ratchet cranking) All right, we did find out that there is another screw that goes straight up in right here. It's kind of hidden in the back, back here. It's kind of tricky to get to. You may be able to get it with a regular screwdriver, but you'll have to definitely use a flashlight to find it up in there. (electric screwdriver whirring) Come on. (electric screwdriver whirring) And there's one on both sides. Underneath here, you're gonna have a handful of fasteners you'll have to remove. Usually, you can just get a screwdriver in there and just kind of work 'em down, and then you'll be able to pull 'em out, wiggle 'em, and pull 'em down. But you'll have them in various spots along here. To see if you've got it loose enough, it's nice to just pull on the body after you've g
