Day 6- Torres Del Paine O Circuit | Rocking up to Beautiful Británico Lookout & Rainy Frances Camp

Paine Grande Camp to Frances Camp on the Torres Del Paine Circuit (21 km). Easy, breezy trail from Paine Grande to Italiano Camp. I left my big backpack behind at the ranger station for the steep uphill hike towards Mirador Británico. I made good time, rushing to beat the coming rain. I was very fortunate to arrive at the lookout before the mist rolled in - and obscured the mountains for the remainder of the afternoon. I return down to Italiano Camp (free, but I didn’t have a reservation) and pushed on another two kilometres to stay at the super expensive Frances Camp ($32!). I had an assigned wooden tent platform, which is always a pain with a non-freestanding tent. The showers at Frances Camp were top-notch, but the kitchen/dining area was ridiculously small. A massive rainstorm began in the evening, and as I ran towards the shelter of my tent I slipped and fell in the mud.
