We're Finally in Japan | Zipair Overnight Flight + Tokyo First Impressions

Hey guys, Andrew & Patricia here! We've finally made it to Japan. Our first time ever, and what a way to start! After an incredible time in Singapore, we boarded Zipair flight ZG054, their overnight budget flight from Singapore Changi (SIN) at 11:40pm, landing at Tokyo Narita (NRT) around 8:25am. Changi Airport waiting was relaxing as always, but we were exhausted after a full day exploring Singapore with zero sleep. The flight itself was basic (spoiler: food wasn't the best, so pack snacks if you can!), but we were too tired to film much. We just needed rest for the big arrival. Touching down at Narita, the adventure kicked off with a hiccup. We had trouble ordering our Japan Wireless pocket WiFi device and ended up with no internet for the first 7 days! Our top advice: grab a data SIM or eSIM at the airport (Klook works great) to avoid the hassle. We grabbed a triple-shot Starbucks coffee as a pick-me-up, then navigated the super-efficient Japanese transport system. We took the bus from Narita to Tokyo Station, admiring how carefully staff tag and handle luggage. Tokyo Station midday was busy and a little daunting without data, but the English signs everywhere saved us! Once we figured out Suica cards, we made it to our hotel: Shinjuku Washington Hotel (16th floor, room 53... please let us know if you've stayed in the exact same room? 😄). We give a quick room tour, including the famous Japanese toilets with heated seats. Total game changer 😂 Japan already feels like a whole new world: efficient, polite, and full of surprises. Coming up: We're heading from Tokyo to Hiroshima with stops along the way. Yokohama, Kamakura, Mt Fuji/Kawaguchiko, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, and more.
