This video covers what happens when you record 2 different speakers at once in a 2X12 CAB - what's the best combo? The guitar parts used are from me, the track is as yet untitled but may be released in future. The guitars were recorded through my Peavey 6505+ converted from the 112 combo (and modded a bit) on red channel, with a BOO Instruments OD808. (green channel for the clean section). The Cabinet used was a Zilla Fatboy 2x12, and the Microphones used were sE Electronics R1 Ribbons and Shure SM57s. NO EQ WAS USED AT ALL. No compression, no nothing. If you want to EQ your guitars to fit into a mix, that's understandable but we wanted you to know what they sound like straight off the desk. ------ What gear to buy?
