Burbank is a city in the southeastern end of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County, California. Located 12 miles (19 km) northwest of Downtown Los Angeles. City of Burbank has a total area of 17.35 sq mi (44.94 km2). City of Burbank was incorporated July 8, 1911 and over 110 Years old. Burbank is bordered by city of Glendale to the east, the Los Angeles city neighborhood: North Hollywood and Toluca Lake on the west, and Griffith Park to the south. The Verdugo Mountains form the northern border. Major Highway Interstate 210 travels near north region of Burbank. The Ventura Freeway (SR 134) travels through the south region. The Golden State Freeway Interstate 5 (I-5) travels through the center region of Burbank. State Route 170 and U.S. Route 101 travels near west region of Burbank. Besides, Burbank's Bob Hope Airport is famous for domestic us traveler between LA and other states. Metrolink commuter train, Amtrak and Metro bus are also available for transportation. Metrolink Burbank Downtown Station There are three Metrolink stops in city of Burbank: Burbank Downtown, Burbank Airport North, and Bob Hope Airport. Burbank Airport North station is served by Metrolink's Antelope Valley Line. The station is located near the intersection of San Fernando Boulevard and Hollywood Way, a few blocks to airport. Bob Hope Airport station is an unstaffed Amtrak and Metrolink rail station at Airport in the city of Burbank, California. It is served by both Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner from San Luis Obispo to San Diego and Metrolink's Ventura County Line. Burbank Downtown Station is served by Metrolink's Antelope Valley Line and Ventura County Line both terminating at Los Angeles Union Station. Amtrak trains do not stop at this station. Burbank Downtown Station also serves as a transportation center for Metro Bus number: 96, 154, 155, 164, 165, 294 and Santa Clarita Transit Bus number 794. Visitors can take buses to go shopping at famous Burbank Town Center Mall area. There are several tourist attractions in Burbank area: Warner Brothers Studio Tour, North America’s largest IKEA store and Porto's Bakery and Café since 2006. Porto's Bakery and Café Porto’s Bakery was found by Rosa Porto, a Cuban-born American baker. The first Porto’s Bakery opened at Silver Lake, city of Los Angeles in 1976. Nearly 50 years, the Porto’s has become one of the LA tourist attractions with inexpensive and delicious Cubano food. Porto's Bakery & Cafe locations grew to include shops in Burbank, Downey, Buena Park and West Covina. Driving from LA city: Take Highway 210, then Highway 134 Exit 2 Hollywood Way.
