How to control thrips pest in cotton crop? Thrips is a sucking pest. It is found under the leaf. It sucks sap from leaves and excrete a shiny material which can be seen on the lower side of leaf. It's size is very small one to two millimeters and can not be seen easily by naked eyes. It is brown or yellow in colour. Leaves show cup shaped appearance due to its severe attack. It attacking symptoms are just like virus attack. Thrips can be controlled by foliar chemical spray of insecticides such; Chlorphenapyre @ 100 ml per acre in 100 liters of water.
