We visited the Kigeme refugee camp located in Nyamagabe District, Kibirizi Sector, Kigeme Cell. The camp is home to more than 14,000 people and has been in Rwanda for over thirteen years. ave you ever wondered how refugees live? Some of the residents we spoke to told us about life in the camp. They also shared stories from before they fled their home country, describing how good life used to be One resident said, “I had never thought of boiling water before — we used to boil milk instead. I had never gone to the market to buy food because I always grew my own crops in my fields The same people we used to play football with and share everything with are the ones who chased us from our homes. Why doesn’t our government listen to us and understand that we are tired of living as refugees? A journalist asks the president: “What is the one thing you have learned in Rwanda that you will go back and teach others in your country?” The president begins to explain all the lessons they have learned in Rwanda The president requested that, if possible, the Girinka (One Cow per Poor Family) program be introduced in the Congolese refugee camps He told us about his journey with Colonel Mayanga — how they used to be neighbors and played football together. He explained everything from the beginning: how the colonel took their land, asking them to give it to him since they were returning to their home in Rwanda. Did he take the land by force? Yes, because they were powerless at that time. He told us this story to explain how Mayanga joined the army. A journalist curiously asks the president about the aid they receive — how it is used and what benefit it brings them. The president explains in detail, breaking it down into three main points curiosity, the journalist kept asking questions, which led us to another friend working in Kigeme Camp. He told us how life was going there. That’s when we decided to go meet another friend to see for ourselves whether what the president was telling us was true. @CapCutofficial @moi-et-toishow @Ntashyari Tv @CongTheVlogger
