Old chainsaw restoration or rebuilds have always fascinated me. I decided to buy this 50-year-old vintage Pioneer 2073 saw and see if I could refurbish it and make it look new. I just love the simplicity of these small engine 50cc saws and I always preferred the yellow enamel chainsaws from Pioneer and McCulloch. The process of restoring this vintage chainsaw was like stepping into a time warp; back when things were built to last. Gas powered chainsaws from the 50's-70's remind me of those old time woodsmen working hard for their families and enjoying nature with their pals.
