Notes on what I cover on Day 45 of my journey to 100% hearing: Crazy noise for today: Metal spoon clinking in a glass mason jar about made me remove my device. It was so shrill it ‘hurt’ but it’s not quite pain. It’s like something else. It’s not pain. It’s almost identical to the first day I went to church and the singing overwhelmed me. I wear my device 15-16 hours a day. I am constantly listening to something on my CI via Bluetooth. Podcast. Shows. Comedy. Books. Speakers. I think these two things have proven fruitful for me as I have 98% speech clarity in sentences at a conversational volume (55db) with the opposite ear plugged or muted. Ladies voices are still a real struggle to hear. My voice is getting closer to the right pitch. 😏 Right ear. 100%. 🤗 Left ear is 40-50% functioning w/o aid. 🫤 What a huge blessing it is to hear all the sounds and noises this world makes.
