Gibb River Road Part 2 | Scones, Free Camping and Epic Swimming Holes | Episode 41

We're back on the road and heading west in Part 2 of our Gibb River Road adventure. The first stop is some of Ellenbrae Station for some of their famous scones and enjoying the shady garden while the kids have a play. Back in the car and heading further west, the road deteriorates. In this section, we experienced some of the worst corrugations and bulldust on the Gibb. On the plus side, we find a brilliant free camp on the Hann River and have the place entirely to ourselves. Relaxing under the shade of the massive eucalypts while the kids play in the sand makes this place one of the hidden gems of the Gibb River Road. After a couple of days chilling out, we head off to Mount Barnett roadhouse to refuel and pay our fees for Manning Gorge. After arriving at the campsite and getting set up, we head for the swimming hole only metres from camp. Wow! What an incredible place this is!
