To my first 3 original commenters from this video: I didn't delete your comment! I deleted the original video upload to fix the loud music. So sorry! xo This is a tutorial on how to DIY a shaggy heart design pillow. But it doesn't have to stop at hearts! If you just want a shaggy pillow, you can do this as 1 solid color... Or maybe a shamrock shaggy pillow for St Patties? Or maybe the first initial of your name shaggy pillow? It's pretty endless at this point :) **UPDATE: RE-UPLOADED with higher volume on voice over and lowered music volume! // I apologize if the vocals are really low on this video!** OK, so things you will need: 14x14 pillow form (or whatever size your heart desires! just remember, the bigger the pillow requires a larger span of patience). *You can get pillow forms from any fabric store like JoAnn's or even Walmart. 5x Red, blue, pink, purple, yellow felt (you may need more or less depending on the size of your pillow & the size you draw your heart. I needed 5 sheets for my 14x14). You can get felt sheets from any fabric store, craft store, some supermarkets/drugstores. Approx 3-5 yards of fabric for both the pillow case + all the petals (again, will depend on your pillow size. For mine, I used a queen sized bed sheet I bought from the thrift store for only $2.99!) Hot glue gun + hot glue sticks (I recommend buying a big pack... I used A LOT of glue sticks for this project. From JoAnn's I bought a 24 pack of pro strength gluesticks by "Ad tech" mini size for $4.99... I used about 18 of the glue sticks) Scissors of course Needle and thread OR fabric glue for a "no sew" pillow case Ruler or measuring tape Colored pencil or a pen (to make markings with and to outline your heart) and last, but not least.... A LOT of patience This project took me about 2 1/2 days to finish, 3-4 hours per day. But maybe you will work faster than me, and can do it in 1 solid day. Like if you had a sewing machine, or use fabric glue. Also, if you use thicker fabric than I did, you won't need to cut out so many circles to make pedals out of! Regardless, I had a ton of fun making the pillow and filming it for you guys. Plus, my hubby was oh-so touched that I worked so hard on a pillow for him :) Please thumbs up to support more DIY's from this channel! Thank you all so much for taking time to watch my video! :) Happy Valentines Day!
