I am up in Shropshire to meet up with Harriet and her dachshund, Lola. We are exploring Shrewsbury Castle, originally a stronghold built by Roger de Montgomery and later reworked by Thomas Telford. I am keen to visit Laura's Tower, or should that be bower? She was the daughter of Sir William Pulteney.
