Class 456 Haul at Kensington Olympia, Wimbledon Park C.S.D. To Long Marston

In this video A Class 456 is being dragged through Kensington Olympia Making it’s way to Long Marston From Wimbledon Park C.S.D. To be scraped after 30 years of being in service and being refurbished in 2007 along with the class 455 being refurbished at that time as well. Unfortunately the class 456 is being scrapped because of the New class 701 coming into service. This will mean that the class 455 will also be scrapped and the 458 will be refurbished and will go into the Portsmouth Direct Line since the class 701 will be going on all suburban lines and the Reading, Windsor, and Weybridge lines. At first the class 458 was meant to be scrapped and the class 442 was meant to stay in the Portsmouth Direct line but that didn’t go to plan so already all the class 442 went to scrap in the last 5 months. This also means since the new class 701 is coming in the class 707 had to go to so SWR Decided to give them away to South eastern where already 80% of the class 707 are operating. SO IN CONCLUSION…The class 456 Has been a great train served for the South Western Network for 30 years and Personally I will miss this train Class a lot. Thank you for Watching.
