Contact me directly for pricing and availability any time: [email protected] We love trades and do them all the time! The best way to get started is to fill out the form below. Please make sure that you select me, David Azizinamini, as your salesperson, and once I see it come through, I'll get it to my team! https://www.chicagomusicexchange.com/... In this episode of Prowling Around, we’re back in the unboxing corner and deep in the Chicago Music Exchange vault on the SAME crazy holiday week, going through some absolutely wild pieces from my good friend Dave Amato (REO Speedwagon) and a few other killer collections we’ve brought in. The shop is JAM-PACKED with gear right now and a lot of this is not even on the website yet, so if something grabs you, email me and we’ll talk. Here’s some of what we dig into in this one: Gibson Les Paul 50th Anniversary ’58 Murphy Sunburst – monster top, Murphy aged, #96 of 200, signed by Rick Gembar, Edwin Wilson, and Tom Murphy. 8 lb 15.5 oz, .92" at the first fret, 1.02" at the 12th. Gibson Les Paul 50th Anniversary ’58 Murphy Aged Goldtop – limited #34 of 75, super clean, with all the case candy and signatures. One-of-one Gibson EDS-1275 Double Neck – factory “wrong” layout with the 6-string on top and 12-string on the bottom. To our knowledge, the only one on planet Earth, straight out of Dave’s collection. Gretsch Custom Shop G6131 Jet Firebird – Steven Stern Masterbuilt in Firebird Red – from the now-retired masterbuilder himself, complete with COA, strap, and killer case candy. 1977 Gibson Explorer – Factory Ebony – thin ’77 neck, no breaks, just a super cool black Explorer that does not show up every day. Charvel Custom Shop Dinky DK2H – Dave Nichols Masterbuilt (2021) – lime green metallic shred machine with a ridiculous birdseye maple neck, Floyd Rose, one knob, 3-way switch… all business. A beautiful 1938 Gibson L-series acoustic with “Merle Haggard” carved into it – repaired, loved, and absolutely full of songs. One of my favorite acoustics in the shop right now. A quick look at the “Loud: Collecting Loud History” Marshall book – numbered, limited, and already feeling like the next Blackguard-level collector book for amp nerds. More from the 405-guitar vault collection, including: Epiphone Revolution Casino (Natural) – John Lennon spec, 1965 recreation, #1,087 of 1,965, totally mint with all case candy, shroud, and paperwork. George Harrison Rosewood Telecaster – mint, with COA, ashtray bridge cover, and all the goodies. Gretsch George Harrison Duo Jet – DynaSonic pickups, rocking bar bridge, silver plexi guard, paper still under the bridge, full case candy and COA. Gibson John Lennon J-160E – #195 of 200, completed April 10, 2000. Light checking, no breaks, tons of vibe, all original paperwork and case candy. A wild Gibson Custom Shop Dave Amato Les Paul Axcess with a 5A maple top and streaked ebony fingerboard using the white/black heartwood of the tree – super unique look, super “Dave” spec. On top of the gear, you’ll see a bit of real-life CME chaos: piles of fresh buys, drums, trades, Laurel talking about Wits & Wagers, Nick being “internet famous,” and a quick cameo hang with Mark and some rig-rundown talk. It’s just a normal day in a shop that’s bursting at the seams with collections, consignments, and new arrivals. If you’re looking for something special for the holidays (or literally any time of year), email me and tell me what you’re hunting for. A lot of this stuff sells before it ever hits the site, especially the Dave Amato pieces and the Beatles-related guitars, so don’t be shy: 📧 [email protected] We buy, sell, and trade every day – from single instruments to full collections. If you’ve got gear you’re not using and want to turn it into something you WILL use, hit the trade link below, select my name, and we’ll get the ball rolling. 👍 If you enjoy this kind of behind-the-scenes prowling through the vault, please like the video, subscribe, and share it with your fellow guitar nerds and Beatles / REO / vintage Marshall fans. Drop a comment and tell me which guitar or piece of case candy you’d take home first.
