Major League Baseball has made significant schedule adjustments for the Tampa Bay Rays for the 2025 season, with the team playing 47 of its first 59 games at home at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. The changes come after the damage caused by Hurricane Milton to Tropicana Field, the Rays' usual home. In an effort to avoid the summer rain and humidity at the outdoor Steinbrenner Field, MLB moved a series with the Los Angeles Angels and Minnesota Twins to earlier dates. After a home-heavy start, the Rays will face a road-heavy second half, with 69 of their final 103 games on the road. This includes a stretch with limited home games in July and August. The team is scheduled for eight home games each during those months. The Rays' season will begin with six home games against Colorado and Pittsburgh before a three-game series in Texas. Afterward, they return to Tampa for a 13-game homestand against the Angels, Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, and New York Yankees. Tropicana Field, the Rays' home since 1998, was heavily damaged during Hurricane Milton in October, with its roof suffering significant damage.
