Jharkhand Air Ambulance Crash: 7 Dead, AAIB To Probe Redbird Aviation | News9

In a tragic incident, a Redbird Airways Beechcraft C90 air ambulance flying from Ranchi to Delhi crashed in Jharkhand’s Chatra district shortly after takeoff, killing all seven people on board, including a patient, medical staff, attendants, and two pilots. The aircraft departed Ranchi at 7:11 PM on February 23 and lost radar contact around 7:34 PM after reportedly informing Kolkata ATC about a weather deviation. The deceased include Captains Vivek Vikas Bhagat and Swarjdeep Singh, patient Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Vikas Kumar Gupta, paramedic Sachin Kumar Mishra, and attendants Archana Devi and Dhuru Kumar. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has launched a full investigation and is set to visit Redbird Aviation’s Delhi office to secure key documents, including safety audits, maintenance records, and operational clearances.
