1968 can’t bear the pain of this, i’m sure. 3’s a crowd hails from springfield, illinois, with members roger humphrey on bass and vocals, bob cellini on guitar, and mike bertucci on drums. they only released two singles and were around from 1966 to 1968. fun fact: humphrey was 37 at the time of the first single, which is miles older than usual garage artists of the time, most of which were teenagers as young as 14 in the case of the troyes’ lee koteles. this is the b-side of “keep on walking” on golden voice records. a weeper that is simple and sad, with a sudden ending that makes you think, “that’s it?”, sort of like a lost relationship, don’t you think?
