Sculpture is a physical modelling instrument, allowing you to construct complex, evolving sounds around the notion of a virtual 'string'. That string can be made of glass, wood, steel or nylon and just like real instruments which use strings, Sculpture's virtual string can be set into motion in a number of ways. This movement or stimulus is handled by Sculpture's Objects, which replicate different performance behaviours like plucking, or bowing, or striking a string to get it moving in assorted ways. One of Object 2's options is labelled 'External', which allows you to route a side-chain signal into Scultpure. In this video, Jono will introduce some of Sculpture's key parameters (which take a little time to understand if you've not explored them before) before routing a beat loop in as an Object.
