In this video, we show you how simple it is to setup and use the orbiter lap counter system The orbiter system takes just minutes to setup and use. First, roll your orbiter bollard out to the start finish line, and then turn it on. Next, connect the wireless radio to a computer that runs the orbiter software that will run your race. To run a race, the event needs to be setup in your orbiter software. We setup a race using tabs going from left to right. Add your people, tags, race tracks, and events to the database. Check that you're connected to the orbiter reader, and you are good to go. Next, hand out the RF ID tags to your runners. In this example, the tags are embedded into the bibs that they wear for the race. Now it's time to run your race! And as the runners pass by the orbiter, their laps and times are detected and the information is wirelessly passed to the computer. When the event is finished, print out the reports for your runners.
