Stephen Kilgus, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the School Psychology Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also Co-Director of the School Mental Health Collaborative, a national research and technical assistance center. Dr. Kilgus has contributed to the development and validation of several social-emotional and behavioral assessments, including universal screening, problem analysis, and progress monitoring tools. He has also evaluated the effectiveness of multiple Tier 2 interventions for students exhibiting early symptoms of externalizing and internalizing concerns. Dr. Kilgus has published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers and received more than $9 million in external research funding. He is currently an associate editor for the Journal of School Psychology.
