He printed his logo too large for the small 8x10 framed prints. He had them redone and put a smaller one with just black ink on it instead of the full color red logo which was too obtrusive. Here are some tips on signing your own photographs. Never sign your mat, only the print. That way the client can redo their frame and mat if they choose. Use a good quality pen like an archival Recollections pen or a gel pen. Stay away from ball point pens and standard Sharpies. You can put it on the image digitally (Lightroom makes this easy) just make sure it is very small and doesn't overtake the print.
