How to make a simple stretcher frame for painting fabric. I will show how I make a simple stretcher frame from start to finish and how I put the fabric onto it. On these small stretcher frames I paint skies/water for my miniature landscape quilt and many other projects. The stretcher frame may be made a specific size for a specific project though I don't recommend larger than 30" x 20". Materials and Tools - A frame either homemade or purchased (this one measures approximately - 22" x 17") Raw canvas - At least 4" wide by 1" longer than the longest side of your frame (I cut one inch strips - two pieces 23" and two pieces 17") 20 to 30 - Strong metal tacks Artist gel medium small artists paint brush 1/2" to 3/4" NOT a good brush Pencil or permanent marker Rotary cutter, mat and acrylic rule OR straight edge and scissors Work safe surface Link to Painting Sky Fabric Demo on a stretcher frame - • How to Paint Sky Fabric (a demo) SUBSCRIBE! / fiberdesignsbyann Visit my blog - http://fiberdesignsbyann.com/blog/ Website - http://fiberdesignsbyann.com More lessons enroll at - https://curious.com/fiberdesignsbyann
