Solo sail around Islas Los Coronados Norte aboard my J29 BlackJack. Los Coronados Islands is a small group of barren rocky islands in Mexican waters near San Diego. You can't land on the island, but it is the closest sailing destination from San Diego. The total distance is about 40 nautical miles round trip from my marina. It's a reach out and reach back, an easy solo sail. Well, unless you run out of wind, that is. I've rounded the island many times with crew, but this was the first time I did it solo. It was a blast. With the obligatory 5 minute nap, of course. I tried again on a windy day, but I gave up. You'll see why in the last segments of the video.
