Hi friends! I just want to start by saying I am no expert. There are many ways to dye chalk, this is just my method. Here’s what you need: Gym chalk - your choice in brand Bowl Some kind of bottle Glitter if you’d like Gel food coloring My method: • add however many blocks I’m dying to my bowl • add my gel food coloring and water to my bottle • gently add colored water to each block. Make sure not to pour too much at once as soft chalk will break (trust me). Harder blocks (picsil, zathletic etc), can handle more water at once. • once the container is empty and al blocks are colored leave to soak overnight. • I put mine in my dehydrator for about 24 hours, give or take, as soon as it is light again it’s ready for the 2nd coat. • add plain water to the same bottle you used previously • again, gently, pour water onto the blocks. Make sure to flip them over and get both side well. • this is when you will apply your glitter if you’d like to use some. This way it sticks well to the chalk and doesn’t just fall right off. • let soak overnight again • dehydrate again until they’re fully dry And viola! You’re all done! I really hope this helps!
