Some of the STOUTEST sequences I’ve run! — Fildegrand river 99.8 June lap

After all this rain, as well as the runs we managed to get on, it was clear that we had to check out the Fildegrand, one of the best creek runs in the Ottawa valley. We had concerns it was gonna be too high judging on the water levels we had on the surrounding streams. When we got to the put in, we were pleasantly surprised with a gauge reading at 99.8, a single centimetre higher then we had last time. However, a centimeter more in a huge lake ment a lot more power down in some of those gorges. It is definitely safe to say that the Fildegrand at this water level was my biggest day on the river so far. When we got to the one sketchier drop of the river, we all walked away from it. However, there was another channel on the right side that was a sick boof at this water level. Because Trypp had just finished his exams and is also the one that went first he named it school’s out. Overall, I am extremely glad we got that experience, and the Fildegrand has become one of my instant classics for a very long time.
