I spent a full working day on a dairy farm in Australia while completing my Working Holiday Visa farm work. This video shows what the job actually involved, the routine, the conditions, and what a typical day felt like working as a backpacker on a dairy farm. One of the best things about working on a dairy farm whilst completing your farm work in Australia is the fact that you get to learn about a new industry and learn new skills. And my personal favourite is the fact that it doesn't matter what the weather is, the cows need to be milked. So your days on the working holiday visa are going down regardless of the weather, so it's a win-win situation!
