Check the map below for all locations. You'll find a small museum here and a shop, where you can buy all kind of glasses. The staff is friendly and helpful, and glasses are not expensive. Mostly between 80 and 120 euro's, depending on the design you prefer. And I am talking about Rodenstock, Dior or Playboy here! All vintage, but new. After buying a frame here, you go to a optician and get your actual glass custom made. I Love Vintage: The frustration, when you found the perfect second hand dress, but it just doesn't fit! That's a problem you'll not have here ;) Because everything is newly made, there are dresses available in all sizes! Love it :) Kingsday market When whole Amsterdam transforms into a mix of a big second hand shop and a party scene. Depending on where you go, you'll find a bit more of either one of them. I prefer the area around the Sarphatipark. Where there is a lot of people, but not too much, only a little music, and especially a lot of second hand stuff! Early morning you still find the most beautiful items (and then I really mean early morning) and at around 4 o'clock you can get most things almost for free. Waterloosquare: This place has it's own style. What I like the most is the big piles of clothing. You'll find the best hidden gems in here, for almost no money. IJhallen: Only once a month (in winter) or twice a month (in summer). Always in the weekends. Because it's in the north of Amsterdam, in an old industrial building, it is a world on it's own! Take a few hours to walk around, and especially: talk to the people. Almost everyone is happy and friendly here.
