Crappie fishing Lake Hartwell! Feb 2025. Catching on Five-0 Baits!

Hello everyone! Today we are fishing Lake Hartwell in Anderson, SC. We are gonna catch crappie around docks in 40 ft of water. The fish are suspended between 8 to 25 ft deep in pretty much clean water with a slight stain. Tackle used is a Favorite Army combo with 6 lb Seagar line. Using a 1/8th ounce jig head that is black in color (I mostly use unpainted). Using the 2.4 inch stinger that I make with the Bass Tackle Molds. I switched colors a few times from a natural color I make using 8bit baits powders. Once the fish slowed down on biting I switch colors. I went next to the Electric Chicken that we made in a prior video (Check that video out). Once they slowed down again I switched to a chartreuse over white pearl color. Once I switched colors the crappie would bite. Always switch colors or bait styles when they slow down on biting. Had a great day on the water and caught around 30 crappie. I only kept enough for my dad and I, as well as a neighbor that loves to eat them too. Released the rest so they can spawn and reproduce. Not every catch was caught on camera because of technical stuff, battery dying, or just forgot to turn it on 🤣. Editing these videos are tough for me but I am learning each time I do it.
