Epping-Ongar Railway Lights Express 2023

A completely new interactive light and sound experience was introduced for the 2023 Epping-Ongar Railway Lights Express trains. Lights on the interior and exterior of the train and audio on the interior, was controlled by GPS as the train progressed along the line. Interactive wrist bands issued to all passengers enhanced the experience. Usually trains were top & tailed with a steam locomotive at the Ongar end and a diesel loco at the other. The hour-long journey started at Ongar and progressed non-stop to a brief pause and reversal at ‘Epping Forest’ before returning to Ongar. The locos in this video are GWR 4-6-0 Pitchford Hall and diesel Class 31. To avoid copyright problems, I have deleted the Light Experience audio on the 37 second interior clip and replaced it with audio from YouTube’s copyright free audio library.
