Ober Bike park in Gatlinburg Tennessee is the East coasters newest gift accessed bike park! In this video I'm giving my full review of the Ober Gatlinburg Bike Park! Situated on top of the smoky mountains, the Ober Bike, Park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, is the East Coasts Newest lift access bike park. The Ober bike park has something for everyone featuring 11 trails and 2 skills training areas. The trails range from greens all the way up to double black diamond and are predominantly flow trails however, with optional side hits and some fun unique features, even the most seasoned mountain bikers can enjoy a good time. I spoke with an employee while I was here and he said the reason being is it there’s so many other good spots to go ride technical riding close by. They wanted to have a great area to help people get their foot in the door and get in the mountain biking but like I said, there’s still plenty of fun options for everybody to enjoy. I had such a good time here. I actually plan on going back in a month. For the price of a lift ticket and $50 I think that’s an awesome value for what you get to have a lift access park and rentals are also available for the price of $50 of you don’t have a bike. I did go on a Tuesday afternoon, but the crowds were super low. Most of the time I rode straight onto the chairlift, and at most only had to wait about five minutes even on the trails I rarely saw anybody else, but I did see other bikers from the chairlift so I know there were a few others. While I was there, I rode every single run that they had. I have that video link in the description and below if you’re interested in checking out each of the trails. Most of the runs are going to take you anywhere from 4 to 7 minutes to get down depending on the route you take and your speed. Then it’s about a 10 minute chairlift ride back to the top. My personal favorite runs were uncle Chuck’s, the yeti, and flying squirrel. I’ve been to a lot of ski resorts and bike parks and one thing that really stood out to me at Ober was that all of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful in terms of getting me set up, where I need to go, and anything that that entails. It was definitely a stand out thing about this resort, so great job Ober! I think Obers greatest strength does lie in its location. Being in the fact that it’s right, smack in the middle of Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge Tennessee, it gives you tons of options for various activities to do with your family to make this more than just a Bike Park trip, as well as tons of food and lodging options so that you can find anything for anyone’s budget. My personal favorite hotel is link in the description in the comments. It even has an indoor outdoor pool, as well as a lazy river . Oh It’s only about seven minutes away from Ober and right smack dab in the middle of Gatlinburg so you can walk to pretty much anywhere you want to go while you stay here. There is so much to do.
