To Prajwala || Festivals for Joy || Suma

Festivals are all about celebration. Festivals bring joy. This made me think why not make festivals a means for spreading Joy? Until now, Festivals for me is to celebrate with my family and friends but starting this Dussehra, me, my team & my family have decided to celebrate festivals with meaning, with a cause, with an aim to bring happiness to the lives of the needy. This Dussehra, as we celebrate Maa Durga and womanhood, we wanted to help women in need. We named our Dussehra Campaign “Shakthi Swaroopini”. In this video (PART 2), we are helping Prajwala for Padmashree Sunitha Krishnan garu. She has been doing great humanitarian work from the past 30 years by helping women and children who have been rescued from trafficking. Mr. Vidhya Garapati, TANA Foundation Trustee of New Jersey, USA came forward to sponsor the Economic rehabilitation of 10 Women Trafficking Survivors through their organization. They have provided funds to set up various long-term sustainable solutions for the women according to their interests such as setting up tiffin centers, Vegetable selling carts, tailoring machines, setting up clothes businesses, etc., to get back on their feet. We approached VShine Foundation for building a playground at the Prajwala campus. VShine Foundation has been helping a lot of people by sponsoring surgeries, education for the needy, and much more. Shilpa Popuri and Shravan Kumar of VShine Foundation have readily accepted the proposal and funded the Play area. We approached Anthill Creations, another not-for-profit organisation that builds Play areas with recycled material such as used Tyres and industrial waste to build the Playground for Prajwala. The Play area work will commence soon.
