@a11ychecksUsing the WAVE extension helps identify and fix accessibility issues to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards, improving usability for all users, including those with disabilities. Summary Panel: Shows the total number of errors, alerts, features, structural elements, and contrast errors. Errors and Alerts : Errors (Red icons): Critical accessibility issues, such as missing alt text, missing form labels, or empty links. Alerts (Yellow icons): Potential accessibility concerns that need manual review, such as redundant links or suspicious heading structures. Features and Structural Elements Features (Green icons): Properly implemented accessibility elements, such as ARIA landmarks or alternative text. Structure (Blue icons): Highlights headings, lists, and other structural elements to check for proper hierarchy and organization. Contrast Errors (Black icons) Detects low contrast issues that can make text difficult to read for users with visual impairments. Reviewing the Code and Fixing Issues: Click on an error icon in the WAVE overlay to see details and recommendations. Use the "Reference" tab for explanations of why an issue is a problem and how to fix it. Modify your website’s HTML, CSS, or ARIA attributes to resolve the detected issues.
