On November 5, 2025, Carrie Ayagaduk Ojanen read "Roughly for the North" at Green College as part of the Whole Cloth reading series. Roughly for the North is Carrie Ayagaduk Ojanen’s debut collection of poetry. It encompasses her love and longing for her ancestral home of Ugiuvak (King Island, Alaska). In the work, she also comes to grips with her beloved Aaka Cecilia Muktoyuk’s cancer illness and passing. It is full of Arctic imagery, lush language, and poetic forms.
