Exploring Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 | Old San Juan, Taino Ancestry & First-Time Jet Skiing

Hey everyone! If you’re new here, my name is Cay, and I share my life in Seattle, my travel adventures, and my faith in Jesus. This week’s video is really special - join me in Puerto Rico as I explore Old San Juan, try authentic Puerto Rican food, and connect with a side of my heritage I didn’t grow up knowing. My dad was born in Puerto Rico and adopted, so this trip was extra meaningful. After doing an ancestry DNA test, I found out I’m 6.1% Indigenous Taino, and exploring the island through that lens was unforgettable. We flew from Seattle to San Juan with a short layover and packed so much into our trip - beach walks, live music, historic streets, Puerto Rican art, jet skiing, and so many delicious meals. I even played pool for the first time and tried mofongo. There were even surprise performers and a pageant at the hotel - it felt like Vegas by the beach lol Whether you’re planning a trip, curious about Puerto Rican culture, or just love travel vlogs with heart, I hope you enjoy this one.
