North East DCP Office: Regarding murder of youth in Central Park, Seelampur On 16.05.2025 at about 11:30 pm, while patrolling the area, Constable Vipin reached Central Park for investigation where a person was found lying in a pool of blood between the park bench and the path. The police station was immediately informed about this. On receiving the information, senior officers along with police team reached the spot and the injured was taken to JPC Hospital, where the doctors present declared him dead. A case has been registered in this regard at Seelampur police station. During preliminary investigation, the deceased has been identified as Rehan @ Seelampuria (age- 16 years 6 months), son of Nisar, resident of Ghonda Chowk, Maujpur, Delhi. Crime and FSL teams have inspected the spot and collected evidence, teams have been deployed to identify and arrest the accused. Investigation of the case is ongoing. Stones/brick pieces and shaving blade used in murder recovered. On 16.05.2025 at about 11:30 pm, while patrolling the area, Constable Vipin reached Central Park for investigation inside the park where a person was found lying in a pool of blood between the park bench and the path. The police station was immediately informed about this. On receiving the information, senior officers reached the spot with the police team and the injured was taken to JPC Hospital, where the doctors present declared him dead. In this regard, a case was registered under Section 103(1) of the Indian Penal Code at Seelampur Police Station and investigation was started. In the preliminary investigation, the deceased was identified as Rehan @ Seelampuria (age- 16 years 6 months), son of Nisar, resident of Ghonda Chowk, Maujpur, Delhi. Crime and FSL teams inspected the spot and collected evidence. As per the directions of Shri Vikramjit Singh Virk, ACP/Seelampur, a special team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Pankaj Kumar, SHO Seelampur, which included HCs Navnish, Manish, Azad and Deepak. The team, under the guidance of *Shri Hareshwar V. Swamy, IPS, DCP/North-East District*, took prompt action and arrested two suspected accused including a minor within a few hours. Based on CCTV footage, information provided by informers and the arrested accused, the team raided several places and arrested 03 more accused including 02 minors. During interrogation of the arrested accused, they told that all of them used to commit crimes in the same group but for some days the deceased had started joining another group due to which there was a difference of opinion between them. To discuss this, the arrested members of the group called the deceased to the park but when he did not agree, they killed Rehan @ Seelampuria with stones/brick pieces and shaving blade lying there and fled from the spot. The arrested accused have been identified as: 1. Faiz @ Ali son of Aamir, resident of slum, Imambara, New Seelampur, Delhi, Age - 23 years. Faiz @ Ali is a BC of Seelampur police station area who was also found involved in many cases earlier. 2. Rahil @ Sahil s/o Aslam, resident of Afaq ki Pulia, New Seelampur, Delhi, Age – 22 years 3. CCL, ABC, resident of- Slum, New Seelampur, Delhi, Age 15 years 4. CCL, JKL, resident of- Trilokpuri, Delhi, Age- 17 years 5. CCL, XYZ, resident of- Slum, New Seelampur, Delhi, Age-17 years Further proceedings in the case are underway along with investigation into the involvement of the accused in other cases.
