In the stillness of the divine midnight, the Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Mr RJ Rathnakar, along with the All India President of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Mr Nimish Pandya, performed the traditional lighting of the sacred kitchen fire, signifying the commencement of the grand Annadana Seva. This time-honoured ceremony heralded the start of preparing Mahaprasadam, which will lovingly nourish thousands of devotees over the next ten days — serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in the spirit of pure love and selfless service. Even in the quiet hours past midnight, the sacred grounds of Prasanthi Nilayam were vibrant with devotion. Sevadals — the dedicated soldiers of service — assembled in disciplined rows, their hearts and voices united in chanting Vedic hymns, Sai Gayatri, and soulful bhajans. The ceremony was conducted with utmost humility and gratitude, offering prayers to Bhagawan to bless every act of service rendered at His Lotus Feet during this monumental period. Following the sacred ceremony, Mr Rathnakar personally inspected the godown where provisions and supplies for the Anna Shala are meticulously stored. He reviewed the arrangements, offering valuable guidance and suggestions to the teams to ensure seamless execution in the coming days.
