Living in Chiang Mai Thailand I have figured out that, on average, I spend 500 Baht on a day to day basis. It's not a rule it's more of a guideline (Like the Pirates Code!) So I generally go out with 500 Baht (and a little bit for emergencies) in my pocket. Its a system that keeps me on track and makes sure I have enough travel or relocate in times of flood.
